Remember "Ally McBeal?"

Premiering on FOX Television Network on September 8, 1997 until May 20, 2002, "Ally McBeal" revolved around the trials and tribulations of female attorney, Ally McBeal, played by Calista Flockhart, who worked at a Boston law firm called Cage & Fish. Attending law school at Harvard, she fell deeply in love with Billy, played by Gil Bellows. However, Billy left for Michigan, where he met his future wife, Georgia, played by Courtney Thorne-Smith.

After leaving her old job, she signed up for a Harvard buddy, Richard Fish, played by Greg Germann. Everything was going just fine, until Ally was introduced to the other lawyers, one of them was happily, married Billy. Ally always tried to forget Billy, and find another love. While dating other guys, she always found something wrong with them, therefore making her feel like she would end up being alone forever. However, her roommate, Renee Raddick, played by Lisa Nicole Carson, offered her support throughout Ally's many ordeals.

Finally, Ally settled down at Cage & Fish, and became good friends with John Cage, played by Peter MacNicol, who was another weird member of the Cage & Fish team. Cage, also known as "The Biscuit," didn't have fantasies of "à la Dancing Baby," like Ally, but he did insist on using Smile Therapy as a way to cheer himself up after being "disparaged." He also took "moments," when things got too tough.

Members of the Cage & Fish team were very inventive, especially Elaine Vassel, played by Jane Krakowski, Ally's secretary. She invented the Husband CD, which stimulated the sounds that a husband would make, and Ice Goggles, which got rid of eye-bags. Furthermore, "The Biscuit" also had a remote toilet flusher, because he insisted on having a "fresh bowl." Ally McBeal may or may not be considered a soap opera, but it was quite interesting to watch. Never a dull moment.
